As we woke up today we had a great breakfast with smoked salmon and smoked lamb (both were self made). We enjoyed the great range of food and the view of Myvatn. It was a great stay in the Guesthouse Dimmuborgir ( The bed was great, the latvian Staff was really helpful and at least it's a wonderful region around the Lake.

Before we left Dimmuborgir, we mounted the Swiss Flag on our car and were ready to leave. That was our way to celebrate the 1st of august, national day of Switzerland. :-)

Arrived in Hvammstangi, we visited the Tourist Center to find a place for the night. We decided to go to Daeli ( where we had a Hut. It was a cheep sleeping bag accommodation (6000 ISK - 50 CHF). But before we went there, we had a short round trip around Vatnsnes, there you can see some Seals. Had a short walk beside a farm. Near the farm there were some nests for Eider Ducks (but they were already hatched), a big colony of Artic Turns (hundreds of them) and a bunch of Seals. Not as impressive as I expected, but cute.
On the way to the Seals and back we were hunted by the Arctic Turns. They came pretty close over the head, ready for an attack, but luckily nothing happened. On the way we also checked the Hvítserkur out. A cliff which looks like a Toll. There are a lot of saga's about this cliff.

Arrived in Daeli, a small Hut was waiting for us and we enjoyed to eat risotto again.
