The date should have warned us...packed and set off for the return ferry from Pennescot, arriving at 10.45 so checked if there was an earlier ferry....there wasnt so we mooched around Pennescot killing time. Discovered it is very difficult to kill time in Pennescot as it is a no horse town...it used to be a one horse town but the horse died of boredom....

Eventually the ferry arrived, we checked in and boarded....I watched huge artics being BACKED onto the ferry before we left. I thought the sea looked rough.....

We sat down near the front of the boat. After about 10 minutes, Sheila, looking a bit green, went above decks to get some air , followed by Les. I stuck it out for another 15 minutes, eyes firmly fixed on the horizon. I joined Les and Sheila on deck, shortly before Sheila asked for a bag....at which point I lost the battle with nausea and my stomach....which made several other passengers on the deck move quickly...I grabbed a bag and spent the rest of the voyage by the side of the ship, wedged between the side of the  ship and a seat, with my head in the bag....Sheila was no better, good job Les was there to look after her big sis...!

Eventually, after 75 minutes ( for a trip that normally takes 45 !)...the ordeal was over and we were docking on the mainland. Sheila collected the car, and we parked up and tried to recover (tonic water helped.....)

We drove to Aldinga Beach where we had a shack near the beach booked for the weekend. After much needed showers and rest, we had dinner in the Victory pub nearby. The hotel had a fantastic wine cellar which I visited to choose the wine for the meal - many wineries noew to me, with wines from $30 to over $150! And a great meal of beer battered whiting.....
