The streets of Mykonos

Next day, we caught an early ferry from Athens and sailed over to small island of Mykonos.

The island had spectacular views, but it was so hot during the day all you wanted to do was laze by the pool and rotate every once in a while - so that's exactly what we did!! The winter Aussie tan was starting to fade and the freshly burnt Mykonian tan was taking place very nicely. In the late afternoon, we ventured out into town to try our luck with the very narrow streets lined with little shops and houses that were all painted white. Lots of tourists out and about all wishing for the same thing...'I wish I had brought my GPS with me'...haha!! The confuised look on people's faces was priceless, and I assure you my face was no different. I attempted my Grenglish wherever possible trying to fit in with the locals but to my dismay I still stood out. Not sure if it was my SLR that gave me away.

On the 16th June, off we went a-sailing around the coast of the island. We visited various beaches and a couple of caves, went swimming, ate lunch on the boat and became all sunned-out by the end of it. A very long day, but enjoyed the views. Later that night we attempted to bar hop in Mykonos to celebrate a birthday. Bottoms up!! A very mixed crowd of young, old, gay and straight.
