Pretty nice beach

After a few days we headed south again, to a yet smaller place where the beaches were supposed to be even better - Garopaba.

We got in the Car of Bob and he gave us a lift about half an hour south.

Garopaba was a one-horse town, but out of season so even the horse had gone. On the plus side the hostel was cheap (due to it being empty), but it was a mission to find a shop that was open. An open bar was out of the question.

The beach was nice and the place was pretty, but in all fairness not as good as the previous place. Never mind. A few more days sunbathing, looking at the odd local in a floss bikini and wedges (the locals, not me) and some more communist meals. The highlight being cold tuna, rice, egg and mozarella salad - I think its an acquired taste.

By now I had a hankering for my own food and I’d had more than enough sun.

Imagine Bobby Brown dressed in the uniform of a junior member of the girl guide movement, selling chocolate brownies in order to raise money for a new hospital in Brownsville. He’s had a hard day and is a bit browned off.

At this point I was slightly browner than that.

Next stop Foz de Igacu.
