First leg to Bremen
July 3, 2005
The first leg for us was from Bad Voeslau in Austria to Bremen Airport
(Germany) because our planned destination airport Groningen (The
Netherlands) was closed so we chose a nearby airport.
So we had the chance to explore the city of Bremen for one day.
For a short time visitor as we were, Bremen seems to be a "normal and unspectacular" German city as you think of if you're thinking of an Northern-German city. The people we saw were friendly and the food was good. The city itself was a also a bit like an American metropolis, just a bit smaller.
For dinner we chose a small Chinese restaurant in a byroad which wasn't good at all. But our lunch at "Beck's" was big and very fine (it was a mixed salad).
Between lunch and dinner we walked arround in the city on our own and visited some landmarks.
