Leaving New York

Well after another busy two, it's Wednesday all of a sudden and it's time to leave for Seattle, just sitting in the hotel lobby writing this before we head off to JFK on the pizza oven that is the New York Subway!
Monday started with a trip to the statue of liberty, wasn't much to do other than take some photos and wander around the island, went onto Ellis Island, but after all the waiting around for the boat in the first place din't feel too interested in the history of immigrants.
Headed back to Manhattan and much to Liam's dismay I forced him to hire out bikes and ride up to the Brooklyn Bridge. After missing the turn on the way up and adding an extra couple of miles to the journey, we finally found it, made a nice change to seeing the city on foot, and though cycling in Jeans is not recommended, cycling along with the NYC traffic was a barrel of laughs.
Headed back to the hotel and went for dinner at the stags head just down the road, and went down to the East Village to check out Old McSorley's, an old Irish pub recommended to me by Luke, smelled funny, but was quite original. Then headed back up to Midtown to go up the Rockefeller for some night time shots.
Tuesday went to Central Park Zoo, American Natural History Museum and the Yankee Stadium, hopng to get tickets to the game, but was a sellout, so last night headed to Time Square and had dinner at Planet Hollywood.
Seattle here we come!
