Welsh breakfast begins with "Boridaa"!

Woke up that morning with a sniffy nose but nothing to worry about. Breakfast was hopeless. I'd told the lady the previous day that I'm a veggie, and I got child's portion of mashed potatoes, baked beans in sauce and some waffle like thing. It was a rip off. We started off that day a lil bit late, and went first to Mt.Snodonia which is the largest peak apparently, in the UK. Well, like the Smokies, nothing that big.

We then stopped off for a tea break at the town with the longest name in the world, I got my passport stamped with it too (I know, pathetic!) and headed from there to Conwy. Rather dull drive, most of us seemed a bit tired with all the chatting and drinking from the previous night. We reached Conwy around noon.

This was an interesting city - nice colourful town, lots of good rstnts to eat and nice tiny roads filled with tourists.

Mount Snodon
It's got a nice river harbour as well. We spent some time eating there, we went to the "smallest house in Britain" which was a rip-off and then walked along the Conwy Castle back to the bus. Nice noon! I remember sitting with Anna and Sarah, and they were busy talking about dating agencies and stuff, quite hilarious.

We soon left Wales heading northwards to the Lake District. We stopped over for a quick cuppa at Bowness Bay. This was a beautiful lakeside town. Charlie Jr and I went for walk, petted the ducks, it was generally all good. From here was our final destination of the day - Ambleside.

We stayed in Ambleside Backpackers, an awful hostel (read my review in the next page, Reviews section), freshened up and left around 7pm to have an early dinner and hit the town.

My "Full Monty" gang
Dinner was lovely, we took Chinese takeaway to a lake and a had a ball there. There were this set of kids rowing boats, a few playing cricket, just all too nice. I felt very happy this day for some reason. I had a lot of misconceptions on what a backpacking tour is like, but this really opened my eyes to a lot of things. People are people, no different than me. And being open minded from one end can do so much in improving relationships with others.

This was perhaps the wildest night of our trip thus far. We had a few drinks in a few pubs here and there, and quickly headed to some basement disco. This was a teen-ish place but very fun all the same. Had lots of Guiness, iced tea, beer, the works! Danced till our socks came off, it was all fun. Went walking back to the hostel with Sarah and Mike. And surprise surprise..Anna and Chris had disappeared. The very first hookup of our trip!

Had a great time when we got back to the hostel...all of us in the same room! We chatted for a while, till like...3am?! It was simply a FABULOUS day and an even more FABULOUS night! As i said earlier, there I was kicking myself with "Why didn't I do this EARLIER???". It was sad and hard to believe, that it was all coming to an end t'row night.
