When we were at the beach I saw some lifeguards and couldn't help asking them if we could get a picture, hihi. Yep! We did it! That was a great one! Mmm, the day was sunny and warm, so bad I didn't bring my swimsuit but at least I would wet my feet. After walking for a while, we sat down on the sand and started to chat. It was very nice to hang out with Daniel.
It was about 1:30pm when Daniel got a phone call from Sue. She and Jerome were in their way to Venice Beach to meet up, great! While we were waiting for them, we saw a street performer in action, impressive! The show just finished and we saw the guys. "Nice to see you, guys!" Venice Beach turned to be the perfect place to walk around and watch people. You can see so many interesting/funny/weird things there, hehe.
While walking we saw some cool urban art and standing in a corner 2 superheroes: Spiderman & Venom. Jerome approached to them and since he was wearing an Aquaman T-shirt, they agreed to get a picture with him, lol.
Would we go to a restaurant or better try something from the different small places along the Boardwalk? The 2nd option sounded much more appealing. We ended up going to a small alley that had some restaurants and tried the Middle Eastern and Salvadorian places. I'd have a Falafel pita and Daniel a Gyro. We were thinking we'd eat dinner and didn't want to eat that much for lunch. Sue wanted to try the Pupusas! A Salvadorian sort of tortilla. I've tried them once and recommended her to try them. Remember Sue, they are Pupusas! Jerome was having problems deciding what to eat. He was also thinking he shouldn't eat that much and even thought about a pita, but when he saw the Middle Eastern combo he changed his mind.
We had our food to take away and found a nice spot to have a picnic. The day was perfect and sitting on the grass with friends, sharing delicious food and chatting was my idea of a fun lunch! It was the best idea to get different things, so we all were able to try new dishes. Food was very good and company even better.
We started to walk back to the start of the Boardwalk when we saw a tattoo stall. Sue has always wanted to get a tattoo and so Daniel. I got one (fake one) once and loved it... Mmm, what about if we all get tattoos? Hahaha, that was the perfect ending for a great day. The gang would have a special thing to remember this lovely day. Actually we didn't need anything to remember the awesome day we just had.
