My accommodation during my stay there in Kuredu'

There is nothing much to do here for expats, especially with me. I can swim a bit (or should I say I can float!) that's the reason why  I couldn' try watersports here. So normally I go to the bar during weekends (note that there is only one bar that we could easily visit), join a picnic at the nearby uninhabited islands, or hang out with friends at coffee/tea shops here, and whatelse? Hmmmm...I couldn't think of more. Yes, not much of recreation unlike when you work in the city, not that I am complaining as I am quite aware how it's going to live and work here, the island life.

So what happens normally is that we try to visit resorts here when we could afford it. For someone like me who is into beach holidays, I couldn't be happier than spending weekends or short stays in any resorts here.

The mode of transfers to go there is by a seaplane...
Some resorts they do offer special rates although mostly they don't (so it's as if were tourists here too). You're lucky when you have good contacts as they definitely could extend good rates but the thing is you couldn't ask often too right? And if ever, you also couldn't go all the time. That is if you wouldn't want to find yourself begging on the streets after busting your wallet! Oh! I was just supposed to write one of my resort moments here but what was I thinking?! Listing some details of what life is like here, uh oh! :D

So anyway, this is just sharing my first time visit to Lhaviyani Atoll (Maldives is made up of small atolls), this is where Kuredu Island Resort is located. Our group (consisting the 04 of us) stayed here for 03 days & 02 nights only.

Just a quick time off from the hustle and bustle of life in Male'. The first time I fell inlove with a big resort island (I prefer small resorts). I was really astounded by the beauty of the surroundings (turquoise & clear waters, whitesands, the huge beach), the service, the food, the staff, the entertainment & etc. It was Paul's first seaplane ride & to occupy an over-water room. First time with Ann & Ayie (having them both) on a resort trip. My first time to get up early for a resort getaway (our seaplane transfer timings was too early), my first time to really get worried I may not be able to cross Male to the airport (it was a Friday I thought there won't be available Dhonis' for early transfers), and my first time to meet Mayden (the person who has extended us the good rates!).

Although it was a very fun filled stay, there was a bit of sadness too. This was the last island getaway with my friend Paul. He is actually the person who would always ask us to have a time off in a resort island. We used to tag along friends (although there's always me, him & Sheila) who would always go together. But now that he's no longer here (he's moved to another country) for sure there wouldn't be resort visits as much as we used to before. Unless, I would meet and befriend someone like him! :D

I found a new friend, he's as energetic and amusing as Paul but he's not into resorts so it's been quite here lately. But it's good so no more expenditures! lol!
