Three Cliffs Bay

I'd say that this beach is the most famous, and most beautiful in Wales! It takes a good 20 mins walk to get there from any direction. It is not touristy, no shops, carparks, and no roads to get here! You can either park at a nearby restaurant and take the 25minute pathway there, or you can walk across the cliff tops, then make your way down the steep and narrow pathway onto the beach. Located along the Gower Coastline, it is a true hidden gem of Wales. The nearest village is Kittle, and here there is only a small bakery and shop. If you walk along the cliff tops, the scenery and views are absolutely breathtaking. You can see the three peaks, popular with mountain climbers.  There is also a meandering stream, which you must pass to get onto the main beach, this can be tricky in summertime when it is highly populated by jellyfish!
Above the beach, on the cliff top, stands Pennard Castle ruins, the ruins stand among an absolutely beautiful backdrop- Picture Perfect!

Lovely photos on this blog - it makes me realise what I've missed by not visiting South Wales!
