Montezuma falls

So were sitting in the internet cafe in Montezuma when in walks Allie, one half of the coolest sisters Ive ever met. We first hooked up with them in San Jose for many a drinking game the night we went to the rave. We all decided to take a walk to Montezuma falls just outside town. Its about a 20 minute hike through the jungle but when you get there you're faced with a 50ft waterfall and the best swimming hole in the area. So we sparked up a few fat ones and jumped in. It was a quality day all in all, beautiful scenery, good times. That night we went to the Moctezuma bar for sangria and beers but didn't stay too long cause Anna had the great drunken idea of going skinny dipping in the ocean (I love this girl she's full of great ideas) so we hurled ourselves into the surf and got a thrown about into the rocks and bruised a bit.

So next day we had booked ourselves onto a scuba dive trip so we got up early and headed for the beach. We were met by a bunch of Italians who took us to Isla Tortuga. The diving wasn't that great actually it had rained recently so the visibility was poor. Clairine hadn't been diving since she qualified and she freaked out a bit on the first dive but on the second she came up buzzing and totally hooked. Were planning to dive on the Carribean coast next week. The BBQ lunch was amazing, we got served up with a big plate of blue marlin and potatoes and tropical fruits. After a few beers and a swim in the ocean we went to snorkel but again the visibility was poor so we didn't see much. So that night we met up with Liz and Allie again for more Sangria beers and LOTS of tequila.

So inevitably we ended up getting naked in the ocean again. But not before we took a hike up the beach in the middle of the night going crab hunting. We met this really interesting guy called Nate in the bar who joined us on the 2nd round of tequilas. He was a high school Biology teacher so I got all nerdy and started talking science to him, even gave him some ideas for investigations to do with his classes. So we drank a load of Cuba Libres on the beach then hit the water.

This morning we had to get up at 6am to catch the taxi boat across the bay to Jaco. The weather is shitty here, overcast and humid and really hot. We got treated in Montezuma, 3 days without rain!
