We woke up early to have a nice breakfast in the dinning room.  You have the choice of going to the caffeteria style breakfast or the nice dinning room where you are seated with other people.  We decided to go to the nice one to meet other people.  Breakfast was great and we met a great couple that was going on the same excursion as us!  Then we headed off the ship to find where to go for our excursion.

We got in a open bus type vehicle.  The roads were narrow and very hilly but we got to the catamaran quickly.  There were about 16 people on our excursion... a great size.  We hopped on the catamaran and got comfortable laying out  (We had already lathered on sunscreen before leaving the ship).  As we sailed the guides/crew told stories and facts about St.

Thomas and other islands we passed.  It was very interesting and I liked hearing about it all.  We sailed for about 45 minutes to an hour before arriving at Christmas Cove to snorkle.

I had never been snorkling before and wasn't exactly sure what to expect.  I also have an extreme fear of sharks... and I always make myself watch shark week.  Thus I knew sharks were very common in the Caribean.  However I did my best to push the thoughts out of my mind and just jumped in.  The crew told us which directions had good reefs so we chose one and swam towards it sticking together.

The reef was beautiful and there were so many fish and all types of them.  We saw one star fish with 6 legs instead of 5, the crew told us that is known as a Jewish Star hehe.

Yay in the warm sun in the Caribean!
A guide came out in a small boat and threw food in around us so the fish swarmed and it was amazing.  Then we grabbed onto a rope and the guide pulled us along to another reef to drop us off there.  This had even more types of fish including a puffer.  We got to snorkle for about almost 2 hours... It was great!

Then we enjoyed free rum punch on the way back.  One crew member was from california came down to St. Thomas once loved it and packed her bags, quit her job, and moved there.  She said the cost of living is way less there and she loves it!  Sounds good in theory however I don't think I'd ever do that til retirement.

Once back on the ship we showered and got ready for dinner.  It was delicious, we ordered everything we wanted and at least 2 desserts each... yumm.  We also went to a comedy show which was really funny.  We then hung out of one of the many bars and enjoyed our home made drinks.  The ship had a juice bar open at all times so we would mix our alcohol in with juice and we each bought one drink the first night so we had the nice carnival huricane glass to drink it out of.  Sneaky Sneaky but so smart!
