Lenny, the chocolate moose at Len Libby's in Scarborough.

Beyond relocating to a hotel in Portland, no real game plan for today.  We wanted to reacquaint Spencer with a few landmarks from her first years on the planet, so after enjoying the complimentary buffet breakfast at the Hampton Inn (we had blown this freebie off the day before and were already up to re-visiting ten restaurants as we ate our way down memory lane) we drove back to Scarborough, another former home town.  First stop was Len Libby’s to check in on Lenny, the 1,700 pound chocolate moose.

Of course I already reviewed that several years ago so I’ll just post a picture or two so you can be assured he’s still around.  We might even have picked up some chocolate (sugar-free for me)....

We cruised past Ferry Beach and Higgins Beach, where we used to take our dog, but traffic trying to get into Higgins was a disaster!  We were stunned that things could come to a complete standstill on a Friday morning, but we got stuck for a bit.  Maybe Maine is getting more popular than when we lived here?   The mass of automobiles convinced us to head back towards Portland after sweeping past the glorious Black Point Inn.

If you want to prevent Maine's roads to clog up even more, you should stop writing these terrific (promotional) blogs and equally excellent reviews :D
