the island's capital Chora, was built on top to avoid pirates raid
My boat reached Serifos at midday, the approach of the island was exciting. I was on the deck eager to see the island I dreamed about. I has chosen this Island over 20 other because it was close from Athens (between 2,5 and 5 hours boat) and because it seemed quiet. The Island is inhabited by only 200 person in Winter (mostly retired) in summer the population raise to 2000 with Greek tourist and Italian and French people who bought Houses there in the 60.

At arrival in the Harbor the hotel Van had come to pick me up, it was really nice. The van is really old and corroded and my first thought was damn I picked up the worst hotel in the Island, I honestly wanted to go and look for another hotel I was just to lazy to do so. I went with the hotel owner and found out that the hotel location was perfect close to the Livadi and on the beach and the room was comfortable.

Siting on the hotel balcony I met Nitta and Siavja to really nice finish women. With whom I spend a lot of time there. And then I decided to go for a walk up to Chora the capital of the island. I was not really equipped for a walk just wearing a dress and sandals and the way was not always easy to find. During the walk, a lot of old local old ladies waved at me.  The view over the island is stunning on the top of the fortress of Chora.
Close to the top is a café on a beautifull little place, the Ice cream there was delicious and actually just staying there was heavenly.

I went back to Livadi to have dinner in a place called Taxkis, the food was good but I almost fall asleep over dinner.
