As in our case, today we will join the trip to Phi-phi island. Since we had to leave early, around 8 am when the shops were not yet opened, we ate instant noodles and some bread we bought yesterday as our breakfast.
The itinerary was like this:
up to 08.00 am: pick-up from the hotel and transfer to the pier at Chalong Bay.
depart to Phi Phi Ley Island.
swimming and sightseeing at Maya Bay.
snorkeling and feeding colorful fish at Loh Samah Bay.
sightseeing at Pileh Cove and Viking Cave.
feeding monkeys with bananas.
12.00 pm: lunch at Phi Phi Don Island
02.30 pm: Arriva at Khai Nai Island
04.30 pm: back to Chalong Bay and transfer to the hotel.
Cost: bargain. Depends on how good you bargain. I get THB 1200 for adult, THB 650 for a child. At lunch at Phi Phi Don, I met an Indonesian woman who could get as low as THB 1000 for adult and THB 500 for a child. In internet, they usually put the rate around THB 1,700-1,800. Better you go to any kiosk along the beach to arrange your trip to Phi-phi island and bargain. There are several tour packages: Phi-phi island package, James Bond island/Pha Nga Bay package, Coral Island package, Raya Island package, Krabi package and so on. There are also some tour and travel. I chose Siam Sea canoe. They have a website: www.siamseacanoe.com
The speedboat was very bumpy and for the ones who can stand to ride 5 times consecutively on a roller coaster without throwing-up, I think you can survive. Otherwise, try hard not to throw-up on the boat. That will be disgusting and gross for others to see. I also suffered from seasickness. When there was a chance to do the snorkeling, I was the first to voluntarily jump out of the boat to the deep water and drained my stomach there. :( The nasty part was when suddenly all the yellow and black stripped fishes swam toward where I threw up and they ate all of my vomit. Euuuh!!! I never experienced this before... It's really funny when thinking about it again, hahaha.....
