Ford's Theater
Today was our last day in DC.  We checked out and left our luggage at our hotel to pick up on our way out of town.  We went to go to the National Portrait Gallery but it wasn't open yet so we decided to walk to Ford's Theater.  Well this was closed too, for the whole week, bummer.  There was however a breakfast place across the street we decided to eat in while we waited for the Portrait Gallery to open.  We then wandered past the FBI building, which is very strange looking, and went into the Portrait Gallery.  The Portrait Gallery was pretty awesome, it had Portraits of every president.  The same building also had the American Art Gallery which was pretty good but we only saw the highlights of it.  After this we went to the National Gallery of Art.  The museum had an amazing exhibit going on called the "Chester Dale Collection."  It had tons of paintings from Van Gogh, Picasso, and Monet, probably the best exhibit of art I have ever seen!

After this Derek really wanted to see the German-American Historical Museum so we walked there and spent a bit looking at their exhibits.  After this it was getting close to the time we had to leave so we went to Union Station and go some shopping and walk around.  Union Station also had the Metro that would take us to our hotel.  Around 4-5 we headed back to our hotel to pick up out luggage and went to the airport.
