gloomy day in Puerto Viejo
We arrived in Puerto Viejo
last night kinda late and in a downpour. The bus ride was longer then expected and when we got off the bus we followed a hobo type who was really pushing his place. It wasn't a bad place and since it was raining we weren't in any mood to go shopping around. The crazy thing is once we were inside and I began talking to the guy who brought us there, he knew all about my hometown. He said he had played college basketball at a school nearby and was naming streets. The thing was he looked to be in his 50's and said he was from Colombia and didn't look like much of a baller. Either way that dude was funny and knew a lot of info about NW Ohio.
The agenda for the day today is was not much- the rain and clouds ensured that it would not be a beach day. Instead we got some bikes from our hostel and rode around all day and did some exploring. The bikes were a bit suspect as the chain kept popping off on my bike making for some trouble at times. All in all it was a cheap easy way to make the most of a rainy day so it was all good.
The nightlife in Puerto Viejo was a good time and had plenty of places to go for such a small town.
