Kesh: We got up early and dreaded the trekking of our backpack down the millions of stairs to the bus stop, but luckily the time of day proved to be in our favour, and getting to the bus station was not really an ordeal at all. The bus trip to Split was relatively uneventful, we did cross the border in and out of Bosnia, and even managed to fit in a small pit stop there too. When we got into Split we found our hostel pretty easily (we had intentially booked close to the bus station), but this is also right next to the palace - result! so we dropped of our stuff and went exploring, our fist stop was the basement halls, which was a complex maze under tha palce, whic was a cool relief from the heat. then we took the waling tour on the map from the jostel which took us around the gates and temples. we wer enot allowed to visit the catherdral because we were dressed for the weather, but the outside made for some good photos anyway. We explored around for some food, but decided on the towns oldest pizza place (it also has cheap beer). we headed back to the hostel to get some laundry done before hitting up a pub for the football. It was a lot cooler tonight than it has been, which made for much better sleeping.
