Kesh: Our train to Graz was at 850, but we were ready and packed early so we decided to head out which ended up being really lucky cos we got off the tram at the wrong stop and had to walk all the way around Sudbahnhoff!! We managed to buy the tickets to Graz without too much hassle, and we got a 10% discount for buying 2 at once so that was handy. We had to change trains at Wein Mediling and then had a pretty cruisy journey through to Graz. When we got there we found all our luggage fit into one locker so that was a second result, but the tickets through to Ljubljana cost more than we expected because of a compulsory reservation charge from Maribor to Ljubljana (which was a complete joke because the trai had about 3 people on it!!) anyway, win some, lose some. So we headed out for some sight seeing, but first stopped at an all you can eat chinese on the way into town! So well fed we headed to the Stad museum which had a really interesting exhibition about holocaust survivors, and also some slides from the war. When we came out of the museum we found we were right beside the elevator up to the Castle, and that it oly cost E0.80, so we decided to save ourselves the heat exhaustion and get the lift up. From the bell tower you get a good view of the city and the river. we decided to keep heading up the hill to the castle, we passed the Chinese pavillion, the well, the garrison musuem and the tower along the way to the summiot. it was E1 to get into the Garrison Museum which included entry to the tower, which was quite a good deal. After the climb we headed back down the hill and stopped for a beer, before heading to the parish church which has a stained glass window with Hitler & Mussolini looking on as Jesus is crucified. - pretty weird stuff. We had a pit stop at the Mausoleum, the Murinsel and the friendy alien before getting some sandwich supplies and heading on to the train station. When we got to Ljubljana we found that the hostel was quite a walk away from the station and when we got to the correct street number the sign posting was awful. I would say climbing into bed was a welcome reflief but we were on the 5th floor which was a sauna so it was not a great night!
