When you come to Japan most people believe that everything is EXPENSIVE...well discover the 100 yen stores there are many different chains of them.  They are much like a dollar store in the USA but have far better things.

My favourite is Daiso I happened to find one close by to where I was living and it was 5 huge floors oh my bliss shopping there i think it has to be the one place you can go and spend money and not feel guilty about doing it.

Its truely a shoppers delight.

so let me get this straight, 100 yen is only 1 usd?

so when you see things for 1500 yen, it's only $15? because if so, that's amazing. and if that's so, there is nothing expensive about Japan... at all.

so my real question is, how far does a dollar get you? and when you go there and go to a currency exchange, do they actually give you 1500 yen for $15?
