Today was a not so early day. we prepared sandwiches in the kitchen for all of us to eat on our journey.. we had some patte sandwiches.. and scrambled egg sandwiches.. and salami sandwiches with all different types of cheeses.. MMmmMM.. we hoped on the bus and train as usual to catch the grand lines. we were going to meet Thanesa today (jenns friend from south africa) when we got to the station jenn couldnt find her.. i had to buy tickets for our train while tracy was printing out the prepurchased tickets for our other trip.. now even though i took french for 2 years i have no clue had to actually speak french.. so safe to say that my attempt at french was a disaster but she understood me ordering billets so i guess it all worked out.. (also thanks to jenn for being our official taker care-er of us) i know it mustve been really frustrating at times.

smelling the flowers

we hop on the train and no Thanesa in sight. the journey was maybe 2 hours? and we arrive at Giverny. at the platform jenn spot Thanesa! turns out she got on the train and actually saw us pass by.. so it was a happy reunion for the two friends. then we walk the town of giverny trying to find a place to store Thanesa luggage. we ended up leaving it at a restaurant while we walked around town..

Giverny is a beautiful little town full of old houses with amazing gardens.. flowers everywhere!! no wonder Monet lived here.. its truly inspiring.. we walked to the church where he was buried and then saw a poppie field.. then we ate our prepared lunches at a bench.  we then entered  Monets house!! his garden was amazing again! full of different colored flower etc.

lilly garden!
. he also had the lili pond garden where his painting were based on!! this was a sight to see.. this is what he painted!  there were people painting and sketching through out the whole town actually.. and i dont blame them. i wish i had my art supplies there also!

During our little visit to the lili pond garden there were these kids on a field trip. theres this one girl in particular who was pretty obnoxious. she spoke french although i could tell her parents were not native of france since her features are more of a middle eastern-asian decent.  anyway.. this group spoted us and then i heard them start trying to speak gibberish chinese or some asian language..(again the one girl more than others) also she started doing karate kicks?  as the walked past us they all started saying konichiwa to us.

go baguette!
Our group was stunned!! first of all none of us even look japanese. (if these were going to be racist at least be accurate about it) they had some balls! especially that little girl.  Jenn was amazing cause she just kept that smile on her face and siad "i speak english sweetie" as she pats them on the head.  I wanted to karate kick them into the lili pond but decided not to.  After that unpleasant experience we decided to head back into paris as we had seen most of the town and it was getting late.

Jenn and Thanesa went home while me and tracy walked around Paris abit. we bought some bread and... hmm what else?? ill have to look a the pics to finish this blog

story continued.. so me and tracy decided to walk around paris abit and went into Angelina which is this posh dessert place. MmmmM the chocolate was so rich i couldnt finish it. then we  went to the louvre and took some day pics.. then back home. cest fini!

Yeah unfortunately I have to agree with RJ. He may be sensitive to undertones of it more than most, but I was totally shocked. But we now have a defense, don't we RJ!! =) "WEINERSHNITZEL!!!!"
