We started off entering one of the main streets of Port Burwell which leads to the beach area. Though this particular public beach is not one of the best within the area, it still offers a place to catch sometime under the sun and take a quick dip in the lake. It also offers a Port if you wish to take a boat fishing or a leisurely day out on the water. Walking done the Port docks provide a good view of the lake and provide some feedback to it's size. You can definitely not see the other side of this lake.
Once we took in the views of the lake and had our fill of the beach area, we make our way down the main street of the town.
After or short visit within the town, we made our way to Port Burwell Park (Provincial Park). This was our main focus for venturing out from the bigger city of London. The entrance fee to this provincial park is 13$ per car load. Depending on your reasoning for the visit, this can be a good deal or a little over priced for what it has to offer.
The beach area is absolutely beautiful with white, flawless sand. It was also considerably less crowded because of the entrance fee. That being said, I think if you had a car load of friends, and an itch for a day at the beach, consider this beach. It is one of the nicer beach I have seen in the area so far.
There is also the opportunity for camping; however, we did not participate.
Overall, I think it was an nice day of exploring. More so because of company as opposed to what it had to offer. We were a little displeased hiking path; however, I have now found a great place to spend a day at the beach!
