They picked me up around 6 PM and we headed to the stadium. I regreted not being wearing a red T-shirt, as pretty much everybody else was. First we had dinner at the VIP lower level. Buffet dinner was wonderful. I chose beef stew, carrot cream and a salad. Oh and a little piece of cake for dessert. I was absolutely full but they warned me I should have saved a little space for what we would eat during the game!
The view from the diamond seats was fantastic. You can really give credit to the players hitting those pitches. And then the food, OMG! At the end of every inning you got a waitress offering you food or drinks, anything you liked. I still had a hot dog, pop corn and chips after the dinner. And three beers. I could barely walk when we left the stadium lol.
The game was awesome, a score of 7-5 for the Reds. We saw a home run and a few nice plays in the 5th inning. It was also the anniversary of the first night game ever, so there were fireworks and light shows. It was great!
I love Cincinnati and I think now I am a Reds fan!
