I haven´t been able to rate it better because I only had time to go in the restaurante, talk to the owners and take a couple of pictures. Why did I do that? well, the placement is just superb! It is in Besalú, a small medieval town in Girona. Just when you are entering the city, you see it with the most romantic terrace facing the river (Fluvià).
I check the prices and it was not that cheap, but hey, sometimes the placement makes you pay for it! They have tables inside and also outside, and both options are good. Call to book a table, as I didn´t see that many. If you are around Besalú, just take 3 or 4 hours to visit it and then treat yourself as a king and have a nice lunch or dinner there.
This is an amazing restaurant placed in the center of Besalú, just in the main square. The architecture reminds you to medieval times, everything with stone arches as you go in the restaurant. If you don´t have time to have lunch or dinner there, just go to the terrace and have a couple of "claras". For those who are not Spanish, clara is a typical drink we have in Spain, and it it beer+lemonade. They normally serve it veeeeery cold! Once you are at this terrace, take some photos, it has an amazing view over the romanic bridge. We got there around 12:30pm and it was already fully booked, so call in advance. Well, just so you know, restaurants in Spain are usually very busy, so book a table with time.
The building is just unbelievable, so stop by! and if you dont like it I will personally return you the money back! hahhah (you wish!) :)
