Skibladner.. the worlds oldest running steamboat
When we got back to Gjøvik, we stopped at the harbor to shoot some pics of the worlds oldest running steam boat, Skibladner. She was still sitting in her winter "house", but we got a couple shots anyway. While we were down at the harbor the sun came out just as it was about to set... AWESOME!!

Sal wanted to go out and get a beer or something, so we drove farther up in the town, and ended up at a place called "Kjeller'n"... meaning "the Basement". When we were there they were allowed only to sell beer and wine, but only a week later they got licensed to sell hard liquor. Anyway... at first this place seemed like a drag.

There were no one else there besides us and the bartenders, and they seemed like they weren't interested in talking, so we were basically thinking about finishing our beers and soft drink and get the h*** out of there. But all of the sudden the mood all changed; we started talking with the bartenders and they turned out to be pretty cool guys. One was Norwegian, the other was from Turkey.

Alex, the Norwegian guy, was so much fun. He even has plans of going to Vegas and opening up a bar. And I really think he has the guts, the drive and the talent to pull it off. But we'll see what happens with that.... The Turkish guy, Deniz,  took a fancy to Belinda and was chatting with her most of the time. His English wasn't the best, so I had to translate here and there, but for the most time he did just fine.
We ended up having a great time after all... and I'm so glad Sal and Belinda enjoyed themselves so much that they right away said they wanted to come back next summer. YAY!! :o))
