Lake Zorinsky

This is a site just south of 168th and Center street in West Omaha.  It is a smaller man made lake and part of a 250 plus acre park.  The park does not permit camping overnight but can accommodate fishing and small boats.  There are multiple venues to cook out with mini pavillions to accommodate small parties

There is a short 7 mile track around the lake which has some history for our family.  When my lovely was pregnant with our first child nine years ago, she wanted to take a walk around the lake.  I was so nervous because she was 9 months pregnant and there is a remote point at the 4 mile mark.  I accepted the walk invitation but was literally dragged up to the 4 mile mark.  At this point, I commenced dragging my lovely until we were closer to the car.  The following day, we had our first born.

On this occasion, we opted to go to this location to ride bicylces and enjoyed the weather.  We packed all four bikes into one car and drove out (we really should invest in a bike rack).  We enjoyed circumventing the circuit and look forward to returning.
