Skye Meseum of Island life
After seeing the ruins of Duntulm Castle, we made or way to the next stop, which happened to be the Skye Meseum of Island life. This museum is approximately 6 miles north of UIg. We never did actually end up stopping to look around the museum though because many of us on the bus were quite tired and cold from a full day of travel. That being said, apparently the museum gives insight as to how individuals lived in the area of Skye during the 1800s. Looking back now, I kinda wished we would have stopped. But either way, there is always a next time :o).

Uig

In Uig we ended up stopping at a marina type area where there were a couple of restaurants, whiskey shop and an portrait shop. It was an interesting location; however, some of the shops were closed at the time we went. Perhaps it was because it was not yet high season for travel and tourism. Either way, I took a look around at the couple of shops that were opened and most of the bus ended up gathering at a restaurant that was "closed" because it was under reconstruction. The restaurant itself seemed to be going to be nice, and the owners themselves were great for letting or tour bus in. It was nice to get a warm coffee and bailey's to help warm up the soul from the cool Scotland weather :o)
