After yet another late night of drinking, which is kind of funny because I wasn't really planning to drink at all during my trip, I finally pulled myself out of my hostel room and readied myself for the day. While grabbing a bite to eat in the common area, hooked up with a couple of hostel buddies (from the night before) and made plans for the day. We all decided that we would make our way to the British Museum. Luckily, it was an easy 30 minute walk or so from the hostel. I personally would recommend walking as much as possible within the popular zones of London, so that you can get a good idea of the vibe of the city. Our walk, towards the museum, to us through the very busy street of Oxford.
The British Museum is home to many of histories wonders. From old temple plates, mummies and vases to Japanese armour and art. The best part of all though was the fact that the meseum was free. I am not personally a big history buff, so I didn't spend too much time in this museum; however, I can see how it could be a history buff's dream. After the museum I gave in to my shopping addiction, lol, and shop around for a bit on Oxford Street :o) Later on that evening, I said my goodbyes to a couple of my new found hostel buddies.
