Sunday Night Market one of many foot massage sections.
I arrived to Chiangmai in the evening and once got set up in Guesthouse I went out to get my bearings. Wow! Unbelievable all the massage places in the City. I did not know which place to try out first. I passed on the first night making a few mental notes of some places that I like to check out when I returned from 2 day/Moonlit river rafting trip.

Got back into the City after some intense River Rafting and was looking forward to a good massage. I don't remember which place I went to but it did not leave an impression. In the days to follow I went to a variety of these small massage places and for the most part great work. I asked around searching for good places to try out.

One of the things I notice is all the massage chairs at the Saturday or Sunday night markets. Rows and rows of chairs lined up and all kinds of people getting some reflexology done. It took me a bit to warm up to it. I did get a few foot massages but enjoy the Thai Massages much better. You will find the prices excellent. Most average type places charged around 100-150 Baht (comes out to about $3 or so).

One place I went they would wash your feet first before any massage in some sort of solution with flowers, nice touch. Many places also serve a cup of tea after the sessions.
