Today, we were unsure of the weather, so we just bummed around a bit in the morning, went for a walk on the beach and sat out for a little bit.

Then we decided to hop a cab over to Pao de Acucar, aka Sugar Loaf Mountain. It was interesting. I sort of expected a cheesy tram ride to the top, a quick walk around and then a trip down. But, as it turns out, there was a lot more to see from the top! So, first you take a tram to the first stop, walk around, look around, and then you take another tram to the top, walk around look around. So at stop one, we walked around, basked in the sun that finally decided to show and while waiting for the second tram, I had a dumb moment! We were sitting on a little bench and I go, "Hey, Mom, look! A Brazilian squirrel!" She promptly replies to me, "Yeah, I don't think that's a squirrel, that would be a monkey!" Haha, my first monkey in the "wild" and I didn't even know it!! He was a little old man monkey, at least that's what I called him- he was actually a marmoset monkey.
Who knew...ok, everyone except me! Anyway, we got to the top and could literally see everything! You could see for miles and miles, it was incredible! There are little gift shops on the way, but really, I didn't find it too commercial like I would expect in the US (that's a good thing!)

Since it was our last night in Rio we had to have a fabulous dinner so we went to Porcao's for dinner. It is a traditional Brazilian BBQ, and OMG, it definitely ranks in the top 5 meals I've ever had in my life! The food just kept coming and the fried bananas, and the wine! It was wonderful. I felt like I needed to be rolled out of the restaurant! Worth every bite I over ate!
