Time to go home

I took a much needed (but short) vacation and spent a week in Stuttgart with my relatives. I enjoy the German culture I get to experience when staying with my family. We also took a nice drive through the Black Forest and I took a day trip to Zurich, Switzerland.

Time to go home

I got up early and my uncle drove me to the airport in Frankfurt.  Traffic was much better now because it was early on a Sunday morning.  We made it in good time and I went and killed time at the airport.  There was a group of noisy Americans and I was trying my best to pretend I didn't speak English.  I got out Harry Potter auf Deutsch and tried to read that while eavesdropping.  I didn't have to eavesdrop because they were so noisy.  One of the louder ladies asked if it was the new (final) book.  I shook my head and went back to reading.  I can see why Europeans don't like American tourists.  Just a few of them can ruin it for everyone else.  Oh well.  I was reluctant to leave the German culture and language, so I watched three movies auf Deutsch in my personal seat back tv.  That was exciting - we didn't have individual tvs on the way over.  And then I was home.

Hey, I have a very similar photo from the plane as I departed Frankfurt a few weeks ago.
