Today we went to the Schonbrunn summer palace. There were 3 garden mazes which are fun especially if you are traveling with kids, but us big kids enjoyed them as well. After the mazes we went to an Apple Struddle demonstration. You get a free sample and we were the only ones there so it was done in English. I also got to go up and help make it, they give you the recipe to take home as well. After the demonstration we walked up the hill to a building called Gloriette and had a great veiw of the city and the palace. We continued to walk and ended up running into a zoo, green house, and rose garden making our walk exciting.
We then headed back to the center city of Vienna to walk around and do some shopping as well as seeing their famous church with the fancy roof. At this point we had seen a lot of churches and weren't to excited about this one. We did a little shopping before dinner at the 1516 brewing company. we then had to head to catch our overnight train to Venice Italy. Up until this point we never reserved a couchette in advance but we ran into some problems doing that so to make life easier for yourself when you arrive at the city make you reservation then at the train station for when you want to leave so you make sure you get that couchette bed. Also many overnight trains only have couchettes so you won't even be allowed on if they don't have a bed for you.
