On our Train to Munich we got a cabin with a young boy about 12 years old. At first we didn't talk then we realized he spoke english and was learning it in school. So we started talking with him as he tried to remember all his English. He loves soccer however he didn't think Germany had a chance since he said the players who sit the bench on the Brazil team are better than the starters for Germany. Then we played cards with him teaching him the rules which he picked up very fast and found enjoyable. We played Crazy 8's. Then he taught us a game that was essentially ass hole. The last game we taught him was Bull Shit.. we were bad teaching this kid bad words but it was funny.
We checked into our hostel then set off to find the famous Hofbrauhaus since it was all ready evening. We walked in and it was crazy... all the tourists were sitting by country! Costa Rica, Mexico, Italy, etc... and a small table near mexico with a few US fans. We joined them to drink for the rest of the night and talked frequently with the "mexicans" most of them were actually from the USA. It was very loud at points with sections starting chants and cheers for their countries then other fans tried to out cheer them. I was drinking the Hefe Weiss bier and it was delicious. Eventually I was aiming for 3 Liters but only made it to 2.5 Liters. while there I took some pictures with locals dressed up in traditional clothes but I don't think they were too happy about it. Some, I'm guessing a young local, came over and was friendly...but drunk and started cheers amoung us. Then he decided to cheers a glass next to me that no one was holding and split the entire liter on me and a guy next to me.... :o(. I just kept drinking and sat there half wet... just part of the experience.
