Amsterdam Day 2

Today we traveled as the locals do and rented bikes. I highly suggest doing this at least for a day in Amsterdam, it makes getting around easy and fun and you get to see a lot more of the city on a nice ride. Our first stop was Rembrants House. It was about his work as time evolved and how he lived and where he painted/sketched his art work. We had an audio tour and it was one of my favorite museums. It got a little boring towards the end but his art work was great.
Then we went over to the Heineken Brewery. They call it the Heineken experience, and that it was! If i would have gone to this first and Guinness second I would have been so disapointed in the Guinness brewery.
We also stopped by a jewelry store where we could see people cutting and polishing diamonds, interesting for me. The only bad thing about the bikes were it was a bit stressful riding them around rush hour, you have to be very cautious.
We got dinner at McDonalds and on the way I ran into someone I know from back home at school... small world, I had no clue she was traveling.
Then we went to do laundry at a near by store since it had been 2 weeks already! While we waited we caught up on our journals and post cards. Ending the night with a little strole around the Red Light District.
