We arrived early in the morning and checked into our hostel and started the tourism right away.  We were confused at first because we didn't realize there was an hour time difference.  We started with the Anne Frank House.  The space they lived in was larger than I expected but still very small for 8 people.  It was also neat to see the book case and walk up those stairs and be where they lived.  There are movie clips and other facts and journal entries written throughout the house in displays.  The experience was going great until the end when someone got sick in the last room and it blocked the way out.  It smelt so discusting and we couldn't leave we were just stuck until they cleaned to let us out.  Not a good ending but I am glad I got to experience it.

The City of Amsterdam itself is absolutely beautiful.  The canals are gorgous and so peaceful until cars fly by on narrow streets.  Although there are very small cars.  It was also neat to see that bikes are very popular they even have their own lanes and lights for bikers.

I didn't have the typical Amsterdam experience since I had no desire to experiment with drugs however I was game for walking around the red light district.  I couldn't get the song Roxanne... Put on the Red Light, out of my head for days hehe.  We walked around a bit and it was neat to see these girls all dressed up but I almost felt bad for them because these girls could be medical assistants, secretaries, and so many other things if given the opportunity.

We then went to a Sex Show at the Moulin Rouge.  There were a bunch of repeating acts throughout the night so you go and leave at any time.  The acts usually involved women stripping, some classier than others.  There was a disturbing but funny act involving a huge woman and a banana, which cleared the place out a bit.  The last act was a man and woman having sex on stage... not as kinky as I expected it to be but none the less it was an experience.  Walking back to our hostel on the other side of the red light district we had some guys wispering along the way "Ecstasy, Coke, etc"  weird and creepy but it is Amsterdam.  No pictures of the sex show or red light district sorry, I didn't want to be rude.
