The staff from MCSP had placed a welcoming ad for me at the company... awww I thought it was so sweet :)
So, the next morning I woke up and I noticed some pain on my throat. I tried to utter a few words, but my voice was gone! I had laryngitis. Oh no! I felt devastated. It was a very important day and I was not going to be able to communicate with anybody! I drank a tea and I met Bob, one of the owners of the company that hosted me in Cincinnati. He noticed my problem and we went to the drugstore trying to get some medicine. There is really nothing over the counter for laryngitis, so I just got myself some Clarytine, hoping it would help. I seem to remember that anytime I had laryngitis in the past my sister put me an injection of some medicine that is available over the counter in Mexico, but I am sure it wouldn't be sold without a prescription in the USA.
Having dinner and fun at Benihana :)
Anyway, I tried not to think about it and we headed to work.
Unfortunately, things didn't go as smoothly as I though they would be. There had been a problem with some of the chemicals we would use on the test and they were not in the right concentration. I had tried to fix the problem the night before, but we still ran into a few problems this day and we finally could not do the test. Bummer. I felt bad, but at least now I have an excuse to visit Cincinnati again before I leave the States.
Later in the afternoon we went back to the lab doing some tests and trying to figure out if there was something we could do to fix the problem. At night we went for dinner to a great japanese restaurant called Benihana. I had the pleasure of meeting Bob's family and Tim, the other contractor and friend also joined us for dinner. We had both great food and great show!

Awesome place for japanese food!
I had been once to this restaurant in Santiago, Chile and just loved it! I think their concept is very authentic and cool. They make you seat by a tab… read entire review
