confessions of a female traveller

The boys just don't know how good they've got it.
1. They don't have to worry about smarmy / sleazy / creepy men looking at them, waving at them or saying hello. Luckily this isn't a huge issue, but every now and then I'm like "really? Are you really waving at me? Really?"
2. In a 12-bed co-ed hostel room they can easily pull on a pair of shorts after a shower & wander around like that to continue drying off, getting dressed etc. Not so easy for a gal. Although my getting-dressed-in-public skills have vastly improved with years of living in an open tent field, it's a little different in a room full of complete strangers. Have you ever tried putting on a bra without exposing any flesh?
3. They never have to worry about having their travel plans disrupted once a month, when all of a sudden you have absolutely no desire to be a tourist, and you really just want to curl up on a cushy couch, watch a movie and eat chocolate. Difficult in a hostel.
Too much information boys?
Deal with it.
