Chow Kit market

Sunday was the last day of my stay in KL. The owner of the hostel asked me where I would go at the breakfast time. I told him I am not sure, because most of the tourist spot in the map I have already been. I thought about going to the bird park. But thinking about one of my roommates got Dengue fever in Cambodia and had to lie down in hospital for 6 weeks with no appetite and didn't eat much in the past 2 weeks, end up paying 6000 bulks hospital bill. I really hesitated. The worst thing is getting sick when you travelling alone and have to stay in hospital with your pocket bleeding. I really feel sorry for that poor girl. I had walked a lot in the past 2 days. My feet got blister and really painful to walk.  So I thought today I am not going to walk too much.

Chow Kit Market
After having breakfast, I took the monorail to Chow kit station. I heard about there's a market nearby, but not sure where the exact location. It's already outside of range of my map. I walked around and saw a few people carrying bags of vegetables from the same spot. I reckon that's where the market is, so I headed towards that place. It was the market. Lots of strange tropical fruits and vegetables sold there that I have never eaten before. Some people cooking and selling Malaysian breakfast. I bought a yellow square pancake kind of food. I didn't know what it's called. They gave me a little bag of pink pickled onion source. I thought the yellow thing was egg but it tasted like curry. Those old shabby buildings in Chow Kit area gave me very different impression from the modern metropolitan goldern triangle area.

I was planning to go to see the Blue Mosque in Shah Alam. But I didn't know how to get there from Shah Alam train station and the KTM was not quite on time. I was going to change from KL Rapid to KTM at Bandaraya station, didn't find KTM station but saw a Sogo department store where seems having mega sales. So I went inside to check out and gave up my trip to the mosque. I reckon this store mainly target women. The levels sell bags, shoes and female clothes and jewellery are fully packed. The level sells male clothes also looks crowded but not as much as those female levels. Food court at level 6 and supermarket at bottom level. I bought a pair of shoes, jeans, and a couple of T-shirt from there.

Later, I went to the food court, ordered a dry chilly fried noodles. Food there are much cheaper than those restaurants in KLCC and Bukit Bintang area where lots of price is ex-tax and service charge. It took quiet a while to get my order in the busy food court, fortunately it tasted not bad.

At night, I went to KL menara tower. The adult price is not cheap, it costs 38RM to get to the observatory level. But there's a complimentary traditional Malaysian dance in cultural village which added some value. I bought a "lucky last" post card of Shah Alam blue mosque where I didn't get chance to go. This Mosque might be holy and saint to others but somehow brought bad luck to me. When I was paying for the card, I had my camera dropped down on the floor and the zooming button was broken. Later when I got back to the hostel, I found the card was folded and ruined in my bag. Sigh...

I think you're right. I recall there was some minced meat inside.

I feel so sorry for your camera. I think the pancake you bought is Indian pancake. If there are meats inside, then is mutabak
