Our first stop was at the only lake in Scotland, Lake of Menteith. There are priory ruins on an island in the middle of the lake which we didn't see but we saw plenty from the little pier on the Northwest shore. Back in Frank's car and we continued up through Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. The scenery was amazing and the road was very windy, I'm sure Frank had a great time driving! Just passed Callander we had a lunch break at Loch Lubnaig enjoying some scrumptious food Joyce had prepared. We skimmed rocks and played with the swans as you can do at most loch's in Scotland!
Further on climbed up to Rannoch Moor which was a really spooky place. We continued through Glencoe which is just so spectacular! The photo's really don't give it credit you have to see it with your own eyes to appreciate it! We had several photo stop off's through Glencoe and I climbed up the valley a bit to get a better view! Jokingly Joyce and Frank drove off down the road leaving Josie and I on the side of the hill laughing! Of course they came back and we went further onto Onich just before Fort William.
We stayed in Onich Hotel, relaxed outside with the help of a few beers and had an amazing dinner to top it off!
