A nice stop at the falls

After nearly four hours we came into Snoqualmie, a small community with a couple of nice things to see. One we have seen before and one was just being set up as a tourist spot. The first that we saw were several very old and dilapidated steam locomotives and cars. I believe that are going to be restored and set into a much nicer arrangement for visitors to see as part of the Northwest Railroad Depot and Museum. The second is the Snoqualmie Falls, one of the nicest and largest waterfalls in the northwest. They are doing something above the falls, probably to get some power from the water, but the falls themselves are very nice. I don’t get tired of seeing a good waterfall. And there were a couple of fishermen in the stream just down from the falls.
One extra today here was an old couple that was there. He was the proud owner of an old 1953 Lincoln, which was in pristine condition. And I think it was there anniversary too, because he had a “Happy Anniversary” sign in the rear window. While he was enjoying sitting out on a bench where he could tell folks of his car and answer questions his wife sat quietly in the car waiting to go home.
