Our oldest son, Dean, has been a Boston Red Sox fan for more years than I can remember so I knew that if we ever got to Boston we would have to visit Fenway Park, and buy him a souvenir. Well today was that day. And you can tell from the pictures we found the ballpark (no easy task, even with a new GPS system).
I was amazed at just how small the park really is. I have always known that it was tiny and oddly shaped, but once you are actually inside you see it. It just looks so different that what you see on TV. And the tour we got included most of the park, from highest point in the right field area around to the new seats above the green monster in left field.
After leaving Fenway we got a few shots of a few of the other famous in Boston, like where they filmed the exterior shots of "Cheers", the Old North Church, and Paul Revere's House. There sure are lots of wonderful old buildings still in the city. We drove past the Commons but parking was non existant so we just kept going.
We ended the day just north at the Comfort Inn in Danvers, MA. and ate dinner nearby at the local Texas Roadhouse, a very nice steak dinner.
