We were up early enough this morning but the Best Western Hotel where we were staying had a restaurant as part of the property so no free food and the "deal" they offered didn't suit our tastes so we opted to go to the Cracker Barrel nearby. A very nice breakfast at a fair price and a gift shop to browse too. My wife bought several car air fresheners. Do you suppose she's trying to tell me something??
The weather is still cloudy but not raining this morning. The wind is strong though and before we had gone about 160 miles we decided to stop and fill up again. Our mileage was down to about 27.5 miles per gallon. We talked to a fellow at one stop and he said on his Prius going east he was getting closer to 75 miles per gallon. Just shows what a 40 mile per hour wind can do to your mileage.
We stopped for pictures at the Theodore Roosevelt National Park and had a rather difficult walk along the pathway. Inside the welcome center they had a weather station reporting wind speed, direction, and temperature. Highest speed we saw was 45 but always above 25 and the temp was only about 54. Kinda cold for June!!
