This is what we were able to catch of the Missouri State sign as we began the day. Rainy, drizzly day.

The day started out dark, very cloudy and with a steady drizzle of light rain.  We got on the road again about 9 a.m. and had to run our windshield wipers nearly all day.  Even when the rain stopped the clouds were solid and didn't let any sunshine through.

St. Louis was our main stop today.  First the Laumeier Sculpture Gardens.  The sculptures are set out around the park which is about a half mile square, and covered with some very heavily wooded areas so we didn't get a chance to see even half of them.  I believe there are about 70 all together.  We walked the main pathway as directed by a nice young lady in the gift shop.  She also advised us that the indoor museum was closed for a few days while the displays were being changed.

This was the bridge over the Missouri River.

From there we headed downtown to see the Arch and then the old Basilica.  We got several pictures downtown, of the Arch, some old church buildings, the Baseball Park, the entrance to the Hard Rock Cafe, and several more things.

I'm still sorry I wasn't able to meet up with you this day. I have wanted to go to the Sculpture Gardens for awhile, and I'm glad to hear your opinion on it. Looks like you had a great trip!
