Finally getting to something more than snow

After spending so much time on the road the last few days we had a shorter day on the road today. Only 325 miles. But that only tells a portion of the facts. Instead of doing 75 mph all day, we were on much slower roads with small very slow periods where a miniature town wanted you to slow to 25 through it. So the total time was nearly the same as previous days. Well, that and the fact that we also had to change our watches another hour forward. We're now two ahead of "home" time.
We stopped in Bridgeport for gas and a sandwich at Subway, and then on towards North Platte.
My new GPS couldn't find the Golden Spike Tower, which was the highlight of our visit in North Platte.
So we headed back into town where the hotels and motels are located near the freeway and found a room at the Comfort Inn. Then off for dinner at the Perkins, just over the freeway.
Not much time to blog and post pics but I did get it done. :)
And thanks again to everyone for making my blog the feature on May 13th!
