My favorite Chinese Signs ~ Shanghai

I love the signs that are literal translations..... Many times they are confusing. Sometimes they give too much information.
These signs are collected from a bunch of different places we went in China. I got so sign crazy I was disappointed if they were written in proper "english". Every park or attraction we went to had great signs. We were surprised at the number of signs in some places that would have benefitted from less signage. They were "natural" places like caves but they had signs telling what the stalagmites resembled.
I hope everyone enjoys these. As China becomes more westernized they will eventually be phased out as people become more fluent in English.
We went to dinner with a Couchsurder, Clare, in Guilin .... she told us the reason the dinner menu descriptions are so funny is the translation is a direct translation and the menu items described aren't as we think of them. She was teaching English and had a good grasp of the customs and some of the language.
