my suitcase is packed ;)
This trip to Japan was a much needed vacation. I decided on Japan because my cousin’s family was stationed over in Japan until September and my Japanese friend had just recently moved back to Japan, so I figured I could go visit both of them! My aunt and uncle were also going over to visit during cherry blossom time, so I decided that would be a perfect time for me to go visit.
As I would be staying with my friend for a couple nights, I asked if there was anything they would like from the States. The request was for Rubbermaid containers and dryer sheets. My entire suitcase was filled with those items, and I brought a small duffel bag with clothes and additional sweets for them. So far, so good.
Once on the plane, my seatmates started fighting, before we even left the gate. They were still going at it an hour later. I figured this would be the longest 12 hour flight ever, but soon they both fell asleep and all was good. My trip had begun! I had a direct flight from Minneapolis to Tokyo, which went along the Aleutian Islands of Alaska then along the coast of Russia and finally over Japan.
