Hakone, Lake Ashi

I don't exactly remember how long did it take us to drive to Hakone (I could have checked the time on the photos but I'm too lazy to do it now =)) but the drive was nice since we looked around and were able to see beautiful surroundings. We passed a few fields with Pampas grass and our guide Asuka told us that it was planted intentionally for entertainment purposes - once it gets dry people who live around organize some sort of festival - they just burn it and have fun... Well, as long as it's safe why not to have fun! ha ha...
There were many koi carps in the Lake Ashi and they were really really humongous, they were *asking* for food by taking out their mouth outta the water! Most of them were dark colored, somewhat dark purple and looked like they were dressed in fluffy velvet coats, really beautiful.
Then we went on Komagatake Ropeway ride up the mountain. It was amazing! On the top of the mountain we had like half an hour walk around and saw a beautiful Shrine. It was really peaceful and so relaxing!
After leaving ropeway we went exploring shops (of course). Surprisingly we didn't buy anything but I was amazed by so many toys of Totoro and other characters from my favourite Miyazaki movies! I wanted to buy all of them but I couldn't since I didn't have much of free space in my luggage and most of all I couldn't decide which one to buy - I loved them all! =) I am a child at heart after all...
We headed back to Tokyo passing Odawara Station on our way. We dropped some people there who chose to return back by bullet train. I wanted to have a bus ride so I chose it (looking back - I should have chosen returning by train - much faster!).
We bought some really good pies and salads from French Bakery at Odawara Station and it made my stomach really happy =)
