Saturday morning we got up around 9.00 for breakfast at the riverside. We ate some "Nijsac eggs" --> eggs, herpes (herbs :p), salt and cheese on bread - tasted really good actually and some tea! The eggs were fried on a small benzine firepit in a pan and with cooking equipment that wasnt too clean, no weekend for hygiene this week. After breakfast we got our climbing gear and went to our first climbing area.
At the climbing area it turned out only Marielle didn't have experience with securing someone while climbing and actual climbing, so our instructors explained it for all - doesn't hurt to repeat. Then they hung out the first rope and we could get started. It turned out most of our group did quite well at climbing and we had some really nice routes. And the big PLUS of today was the weather, around 18 degrees, so nice to be outdoors in that kind of weather. It was so nice we stayed till 17.30.
After climbing we went back to the camping for some very needed dinner, pasta! So good. And then we went to a small place near the river to build a fire - can't go camping without fire! The fire was absolutely perfect in the cold night. Then we went back to the camping on a short hike and thankfully we were warm before going into our sleepingbags. I still woke up from the cold, but at least I got some sleep!
