I don’t know what to tell you about
The island boasts 366 beaches (one for every day of the year and an additional just in case.) From what I could tell, every one is absolutely gorgeous. We didn’t spend any time on a beach, but we were in the water and on a boat the whole time. Check out the review of Eli’s Eco Tour. It really was incredible. I will tour with Eli again, only next time we’ll do the Circum-Nav.
Highlights (other than Eli) include the little bit of shopping I was able to do. Now, if you’ve read my other blogs (especially my cruise blogs – the Legend was an AWESOME cruise – check it out), or you know me personally, you know I’m not a “shopper” by any means. However, I had a hard time passing up the clothes in the shop Exotica Antigua (again more risqué sounding than it really is). There were NICE men’s linen shirts for $30 (as opposed to around $95 in the states for a similar shirt.) I was able to get a couple shirts and a dress for less than $20. Almost everything in there was under $15 US and it was all incredibly UNIQUE! The other shops and straw market were well priced. I’m not a jewelry and handbag person, so I can’t help you out there; but we were able to get some unique things for CHEAP on
If I had to rank these islands, I would put this one near the top. The people were friendly, the island was beautiful, the snorkeling was fantastic, and Eli was AWESOME! Look out
