Evening around Whitby

Whitby was all about Dracula, Dracula and Dracula that I just had to take in the night walking tours. In the past, I've always had a very good experience with these night tours. They're OTT touristy, funny and a nice way to see the town if nothing else. And this tour was going to start at 8pm, right in time for sunset. I gathered near the Town hall for the tour, but 5 minutes into it, and I was so so bored so I walked out. He was extremely boring and the audience too was dull. This worked out well for me, because it gave me ample time to climb up and down the 199 steps (as if I hadn't done enough walking), and take pictures of the Abbey and harbour at sunset.
I also walked by the pier with lots of fish and chips shops. My God UK ports make their living and income out of selling this national delicacy, don't they?! So much of rush, the whole town was a contrast of what I saw about 14 hours ago during sunrise. I spent some time sitting by the pier and taking in dinner, and walked back to the hostel past dark (aka, past 10pm). I tried for some night shots of the Abbey as well but they didn't come out so good. I really really could not wait to sleep that night, I was dog tired. But what a lovely day I had, and what interesting people I met!
